3rd Quarter Project: Cups

These are part of my cups so far. I am glazing the rest of them and some of them are in the kiln room. I'm happy with the outcome so far.

  • You would take the work off a wooden board after about 3 class days, because you don't want them to get bone dry. You just want them to be leather hard, and the wooden board soaks up all the moister.
  • I was focusing on form in this project to make it a certain size.
  • I definitely got better at centering my piece on the wheel. I also learned how to handle the clay better on the wheel. I think I'm improving on the wheel!
  • I would change the size the cups had to be for this project, because i would've liked to make all sorts of sizes of cups.
